UPDATE on our end of 2023 fundraiser to support Ukraine: WE SURPASSED OUR $5,000 GOAL AND THIS ROUND OF FUNDRAISING IS COMPLETE AS OF 1/5/24! THANK YOU! WE DID IT!!

The total amount we have raised for the smoke checkers supplies is $5700.00! It is seven hundred dollars over our goal! We are very proud to provide such contribution to help saving lives of Ukrainian Defenders and we are grateful beyond words for everyone who made this contribution possible, for everyone who helped the fundraiser go over the finishing line. Thank you so so much for making this possible! 
All the funds have been transferred to Denis Dubov (the leader of the UBF volunteers) and are already being used to purchase wax, saltpeter and sugar powder. Thousands of smoke checkers will be made with these materials. We will post more updates here as the information becomes available. Slava Ukraini!

ONGOING FUNDRAISER DETAILS:
 

 Ivan is Ukrainian, and his entire family and friends that are family are there. His mother Tetiana works tirelessly every single day making smoke checkers with an organization called The Ukrainian Bike Family that actually, tangibly, saves people's lives on the frontline on a daily basis as Ukraine defends itself from the Russian invasion. 

The smoke checkers work by making a thick wall of smoke that hides wounded soldiers so they can be evacuated to safety. This gives them valuable time to get out which can make all the difference. This grassroots operation has been instrumental in the last nearly two years in a grueling war that continues its relentless, torturous fight. It is pivotal that we do all we can to help these soldiers, save all the lives we can and help them persevere. 

We have an ongoing commitment to continue to support for as long as it takes. Any contribution you can make is appreciated beyond measure.
